As Published by Post Register on Feb. 3, 2022. "Mason loved baseball and started his path at 6 years old in Tee-ball. He continued on in Ammon Little League, Babe Ruth, and American Legion Baseball. Mason relished his team and teammates. What he learned on the field regarding hard work, determination, and how to "embrace the grind," he applied to his everyday life."
I'd like to agree to this and add that Mason and his Family exemplifies what Little League stands for "Character Courage Loyalty". Because of baseball I have been honored to know Scott, Jadey, and the whole family over the last 12 or so years. Ammon Little League, my family and I would like to thank the entire family for being such good examples for the teams that Scott has coached over the years and for their family involvement in the community. We have had many conversations with Scott and Jadey and they truly stand for everything that is good in people. As for Mason, my sons have umpired for him and have enjoyed him as a player on the field.
Our hearts go out to the Grimmett family with love, respect and appreciation. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely, Joe and Amie Belnap and the entire Ammon Little League family.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Monday, February 7, 2022, at the Ammon Foothills Stake Center, 3934 East 49 South, with Bishop Greg Hoch of the Boulder Creek Ward officiating.
Congratulations to Diamondbacks Majors and Minors. 2021 League Champions!
We have chartered all of Bonneville County for baseball and softball with the official Little League! Joe Belnap, Randal Miller, Krystal Robertson, Aaron Jenkins, Elizabeth Springer, and Amy Walker are the acting Board Members.
A. We try very hard to accommodate all children age 9-12 in Majors and Minors. We follow the official Little League age calculator and rules. If we have enough coaches and skill level is appropriate we welcome our 8-year-old players to participate in the tryouts as well. So long as there is space, and we feel they have the skill to be safe on the field they will be placed on a team Minors team. If they are more equipped for pitching machine they are able to play in this league.

A. We are the only league in South Eastern Idaho that is affiliated with the Official Little League and we use their rules.
A. Baseball - Tee Ball (4-6), Coach Pitch (6-7), Pitching Machine (7-8), Minors (8-11) and Majors (10-12). Softball- Pitching Machine (7-10), Coach Pitch (7-10) and Fast Pitch (10-12).
A. Ages 4-8 that is totally possible. For Minors and Majors here is the answer. The only way that 2 friends can be on the same team is if they were drafted onto the team or their parents are coaching and if there are available spots to protect the kids. A player can only enter the team by protected status if there are less than 2 protected players already on the team.
A. Absolutely! Younger siblings need not tryout, and will be placed on the older siblings' team. If the older sibling is on a Major team and the younger sibling wants to be on a minor team, the younger sibling will have to tryout and be drafted onto a Minor team.
A. Teams have 2 games per week, Minors have typically played on Tuesdays and Thursday, while Majors have played Mondays and Wednesdays. Games are held in the evenings. Most coaches will hold a practice or two through the week as well.
Parent involvement is an integral part of this league. We are run 100% by volunteers; from the Board members, to the coaches, to the scorekeepers, to this website. Please consider offering to help.
A. This is a great organization that teaches many things to our young players. We're proud to be a part of it.
If you're willing to give some of your time this season, we always need coaches and assistant coaches, score keepers, pitch counters, Board members, help with equipment, ordering uniforms, creating ads, entering scores. If you've no experience in things, no worries! We'll welcome the offer and help you learn anything you need to know.
